Today Jill got to go to a workshop at the library on weather that was taught by the weather guy from CFCN news - David Spence. She LOVED it!She learned all sorts of interesting weather trivia. The funniest story from the afternoon was when a kid asked what happens if you get caught in a tornado. David Spence pontificated on what happens (okay, to be sure he is really very down to earth and doesn't come across as a pompous pontiff...but he IS an expert!)...and then Jill raised her hand and said, "So what you're saying is you don't really end up in Oz?"

And in honor of the man who loves storms - here's a video of a storm that passed through Calgary yesterday. It only lasted about 30 minutes...but man, did it pour! We got hail too and the eaves troughs couldn't handle it and sheets of water were pouring down all over the place. CRAZY!
